Geddington 3rd XI made it two league wins in a row, with victory by 69 runs in the Northamptonshire Cricket League Division 8 match, against Weldon 2nd XI at Weldon Cricket Club on Saturday.
Archie Colwill (7-2-17-4) took four wickets with the ball for Geddington, as Weldon were All Out for 126 in 32 overs, chasing 196 to win, Lewis Skorupa (5-2-11-2) and Mark Pearson (9-3-28-2) both took two wickets each with the ball, Freddie Temple (1-2) took the final wicket of the match for the visitors, his first senior league wicket for the club. William Hay (39), Liam Bailey (22) and Steven Milson (20) were the main run-scorers with the bat for the home side.
Earlier, Geddington batted first and made 195-9 off their 45 overs, Ben Templeman (40), Akaash Baiju (33), Pearson (31) and Shane Ling (19) all made contributions with the bat for the visitors, Templeman and Baiju got the innings off to a good start by putting on 73 for the 1st wicket partnership. Dave Freebody (10-4-26-4) took four wickets with the ball for Weldon, Milson (2-28) and Mark Rawson (2-32) also took two wickets each, and there was also a wicket for Declan Oliver (1-38) for the home side.
