Geddington 3rd XI produced a brilliant bowling display to win their match by just 8 runs, against St Crispin & Ryelands 3rd XI at Harpole Cricket Ground on Saturday.
St Crispin & Ryelands were All Out for 85 in 37.5 overs, chasing 94 to win, Archie Colwill (10-3-9-3) and Lewis Skorupa (8.5-0-28-3) both took three wickets each with the ball for Geddington, Stanley Kirk (7-2-12-2) also took two wickets, and there was also a wicket for Brando Biddle (10-3-21-1) for the visitors, the other wicket to fall was Run-Out in the field from Skorupa. Jonathan Funnell (27) and George Belgrove (16) were the main run-scorers with the bat for the home side.
Earlier, Geddington were All Out for 93 in 37.5 overs, George York (31) top-scored with the bat for the visitors, Brodie Biddle (11) was the other main run-scorer, York and Skorupa put on 35 for the 8th wicket partnership, after being 45-7 early on in their innings. Michael Gough (10-4-20-4) took four wickets with the ball for St Crispin & Ryelands, Dan Herbert (9-4-15-3) took three wickets, there was also a wicket each for James Mitchell (1-7), James Ward (1-10) and Funnell (1-19) for the home side.
