Geddington 3rd XI made it seven league wins in a row, with victory by 9 wickets in the Northamptonshire Cricket League Division 8 match against Weldon 2nd XI, at Kettering Buccleuch Academy on Saturday.
Mark Pearson (6-2-21-3) took three wickets with the ball for Geddington, as they bowled Weldon All Out for 83 in 24.3 overs, Evan Arnold (2.3-1-5-2) and Lewis Skorupa (5-0-22-2) both took two wickets each, and there was also a wicket each for Henry Brandrick (1-14) and Brando Biddle (1-21) for the home side, the other wicket to fall was Run-out from Skorupa for the hosts. Conor Napier (33) top-scored for the visitors, Lee Bratley (17) and Mark Kerfoot (14) were the other main run-scorers with the bat.
In reply, Geddington reached their victory target with the loss of 1 wicket in the 16th over, Brodie Biddle (35*) in an innings which included 5 fours and 1 six, and Akaash Baiju (31) in an innings which included 5 fours and 1 six, got the innings off to a good start by putting on 72 for the 1st wicket partnership, before Brodie Biddle and Brando Biddle (4*) guided the hosts to victory. Jake Kerfoot (1-17) took the only wicket to fall with the ball for Weldon.
