Geddington 3rd XI league winning run came to an end on Saturday, with a 43 runs defeat against Horton House 3rd XI at Kettering Buccleuch Academy in the Northamptonshire Cricket League Division 8 match.
Horton House batted first and made 171-8 off their 40 overs, Vignesh Sudhakar (48) top-scored with the bat for the visitors, Nik Patel (41) and James Hawksworth (21) were the other main run-scorers, Patel and Sudhakar put on 71 for the 4th wicket partnership, after being 36-3 early on in the innings. Mark Pearson (10-1-37-3) took three wickets with the ball for Geddington, Ben McDade (2-35) took two wickets, there was also a wicket each for Lewis Skorupa (1-23) and Henry Brandrick (1-38) for the home side.
In reply, Geddington were All Out for 128 in 32.3 overs, Archie Colwill (48) top-scored with the bat for the home side, Daniel McDade (23), Brandrick (22) and Skorupa (18) were the other main run-scorers, Colwill and Skorupa put on 55 for the 6th wicket partnership, after being 42-5. Kevin Taylor (10-4-30-4) was the pick of the Horton House bowlers with four wickets, Hawksworth (3-25) took three wickets, there was also two for Sudhakar (2-15), and one for Mitchell Boffin (1-33) with the ball for the visitors.
