Geddington 3rd XI were defeated by 9 runs, in the Northamptonshire Cricket League Division 8 match against Raunds Town 2nd XI at Kettering Buccleuch Academy on Saturday.
Raunds Town batted first and made 136-6 off their 45 overs, Luke Caswell (24), Peter Lawrence (23) and Paul Guest (18) were the main run-scorers with the bat for the visitors. Hanna McDade (2-16) and Brando Biddle (2-29) took two wickets each with the ball for Geddington, there was also a wicket each for Henry Brandrick (1-10) and Brooklyn Biddle (1-24) for the home side.
In reply, Geddington were All Out for 127 in 35.2 overs, Brandrick (45*) top-scored with an unbeaten knock with the bat for the home side, Ben Templeman (29) was the other main run-scorer for the hosts. Daniel Piggott (9.2-1-31-5) was the pick of the Raunds Town bowlers with five wickets, Guest (10-5-13-3) took three wickets, there was also a wicket each for Darren Hazelton (1-16) and Jayden Hawkes (1-27) for the visitors.
