Geddington 4th XI were defeated by 8 wickets in their latest Northamptonshire Cricket League Division 11 Match, against Spencer Bruerne 2nd XI at Stoke Bruerne Cricket Club on Saturday.
Geddington batted first and were All Out for 40 in 21 overs, Matt Johns (10*) top-scored with the bat for the visitors. Mark Tranter (10-0-20-6) was the pick of the Spencer Bruerne bowlers with six wickets, Tom Lightfoot (10-0-14-3) also took three wickets, there was also a wicket for Ash Day (1-3) for the home side.
In reply, Spencer Bruerne reached their victory target of 41, with the loss of 2 wickets in the 20th over, Alan York (19*) and Alec Morgan (14) were the main run-scorers with the bat for the home side. Alex Rowden (1-6) and Nathan Brown (1-7) both took a wicket each with the ball for Geddington.
