Match Result: Thrapston Blues LWS won by 44 runs.
Thrapston Blues LWS (10pts) 119-3 20 Overs, Geddington LWS (3pts) 75-2 20 Overs.
Geddington Cricket Club Ladies played their first game in the Last Woman Stands competition on Wednesday evening against Thrapston Blues Ladies at Geddington Cricket Club.
Thrapston Blues batted first and made 119-3 off their 20 overs, Joanne Thurbon (45) top-scored with the bat for the visitors, Caitlyn Connelly (39*) and Paris McMahon (22) were also in the runs. Ella Harvey (1-13) took a wicket with the ball for Geddington, the other two wickets were Run-Outs from Tilly James and Harriet Drake-Lee.
In reply, Geddington finished on 75-2 off their 20 overs, Drake-Lee top-scored with the bat by scoring an unbeaten 40 off 43 balls for the home side, Becky Wykes (13) and Leah Rosshart (12*) were also in the runs. Emma Brown (1-16) and Thurbon (1-19) both took a wicket each for Thrapston Blues.
A great and history making first evening of Last Woman Stands Competition for Geddington Ladies, there next match is away to West Haddon Hombres next Wednesday 9th May at West Haddon & Guilsborough Cricket Club.
