Glan Conwy draw their first league game of the season

Glan recovered from a disastrous start of the season to draw 1-1 at home to Pwllheli. A mix up in defence gifted Tom Mahoney with chance and he made no mistake to slot home and give Pwllheli the lead after just 37 seconds. To their credit Glan reacted positively and created several chances without really fully testing Ian Waikman in the Pwll goal. Glan finally drew level in the 41st minute when Richie Orme fired home from the edge of the box. Glan were again the better team in the second half missing several chances to take all 3 points. Mezz Knight, Shaun Shannon and Nathan Smith all went close but fired just wide, and Rhichie Orme hit the bar and the post. Pwll's best chances were created by the long ball from the back with Mark Jones battling hard up front but Glan keeper Danny Mills was rarely troubled. This was definitely 2 points dropped as we created enough half chances to win two games and should have gone on to take all 3 points.
