Glapwell's participation in this season's League Cup is over after a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Blidworth Welfare.

It may have been a different story had Glapwell converted their early penalty which Sam Bartram hit wide.

Charlie Taylor gave Blidworth the lead when his weak header went through Glapwell keeper John Styring.

Glapwell battled away, though, without ever really creating the clear-cut chances that they needed and they were reduced to ten men on 72 minutes when Joshua Aitken saw red for an altercation with Tim Gregory who only saw yellow for his part.

Keenan Leeds' deflected effort doubled the home side's lead seven minutes from time but Glapwell responded immediately through Jake Ballinger but they couldn't force the tie into extra-time.
