Darren Fell scored the only goal of the game on the hour as Thorne Colliery continued their good run against Glapwell with a 1-0 victory at Hall Corner.

It was a typical end-of-season game with nothing much riding on the game for either side and with both having depleted squads, it was decided by a single goal in the visitors favour.

Glapwell had a couple of chances in the opening two minutes while the visitors had a couple of half chances but the first half ended goalless.

The visitors scored the only goal, though, on the hour when Darren Fell fired a low effort into the far corner from just inside the area.

Glapwell went close when Jordan Hall's effort came crashing back off the post with Gavin Wiley firing the rebound well over.

But, Glapwell slipped to defeat against a Thorne side that again proves to be a bogey side for Glapwell who have yet to register a victory in the eight meetings between the sides.

Glapwell's season is wrapped up on Saturday for the visit of Harworth Colliery, kick-off 3pm, which will be followed with the end of season presentation evening.
