While the score line might not reflect it – Flames 2 attack were on FIRE last night! Short and sharp passing, and good support and options saw the ball move up the court with ease, and being worked into goal calmly and coolly. While St Mirren 2’s fast past shooters, who could seemingly shoot from anywhere, were too much for Flame’s defence (this time!) – the whole team kept pushing to the end to get the half points. Lovely to see the team come together with such a good flow up court.
Starting the season with a largely new squad / combination on players was always going to be hard – it takes time to gel, and to know where each other are on the court – but it was brilliant to see all the training coming together into this final game. Onwards and upwards to next season! We’re going to kick Division 5’s butt
