After a weekend with no game, we're back to it this Tuesday 24th August against Fisher FC with kick off off at 7:45pm. Glebe have made it 3 wins from 3 games so far with those victories coming against Bearsted, Erith Town and Punjab United scoring 12 goals and conceding just 2 in the process. So we will be coming to continue the good start to the league season!
Opposition:
Fisher FC is a supporter owned and run football club originating from Bermondsey, in the London Borough of Southwark. The club is owned and run by Fisher FC Society Limited. A registered society, a type of mutual society, is a democratic, not-for-profit organisation of members that provides a set of rules by which the Society, and therefore the Club, must be run. These rules ensure that full members of the Society have a direct say in who makes up the board of the club and that the club is democratically run for the good of the community.
Fisher have played 3 games so far in the 2021/22 SCEFL Premier Division with 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss. They started the season with a 5-0 victory against Rusthall, followed by a 1-0 defeat to Sheppey United and they played out a 2-2 draw at home to Welling Town on Saturday just gone. Just like Glebe, Fisher went out in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round, falling to a 1-0 defeat to Raynes Park Vale.
Fisher played played 9 friendlies during pre-season which included a 7-0 win against Bermondsey Town and a 5-0 win against Forest Hill Park.
