Please note the fixture has been reversed and is now a home game at Foxbury Avenue!

Due to Phoenix Sports playing Chipstead in the FA Cup this Saturday, it means Tower Hamlets are unable to play at The Mayplace Ground whom they groundshare with. So the game will now be played at Foxbury Avenue instead.

Opposition:

Tower Hamlets FC (formerly Bethnal Green United Football Club) was formed by Mohammed Nurul Hoque and Akhtar Ahmed in the year 2000. Representing Tower Hamlets with its rich history and diversity gave the young people an opportunity to show what they could achieve. Tower Hamlets FC was created to give young people from the borough a sense of identity promote community cohesion, develop mutual understanding between young people from different backgrounds and opportunity for them to excel in a sport that they love. Since the formation of the club have played in several leagues including: Canary Wharf Summer League, Inner London Football League, London County Intermediate League and Middlesex County Football League, under the name Bethnal Green United FC.

Tower Hamlets FC have played 5 league games so far this season resulting in 1 win and 4 losses. They started the season with a 2-1 defeat to Canterbury City, followed by defeats to Erith & Belvedere (5-1) and Rusthall (1-0). Tower Hamlets picked up a 3-0 victory away at Hollands & Blair and then last game lost 2-0 to Fisher FC. In the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round, Sheppey United beat them 4-1.

Car Parking is available at the ground

If you’re coming by public transport, please check National Rail Enquires or any transport website/app for the latest travel information. Chislehurst train station is around a 1.7 miles walk from the ground or you can jump on the 269 bus towards Bexleyheath and get off at Ashfield Lane which is just over a 5 minutes walk then to the club. Another option is taking the train to Sidcup station depending where you're coming from. From there it's a 2.3 miles walk or you can get on the 269 bus towards Bromley or 160 bus towards Catford Bridge getting off at Ashfield Lane which like mentioned above is just over a 5 minutes walk to the ground.


Previous meeting:

Tower Hamlets visited Foxbury Avenue back in October 2020, with Glebe coming out on top with a 2-0 victory in the league encounter before coronavirus ended the season once again for a second season running!
