As CBBs were awaiting a few players, it was agreed they could bat and boy did their openers do so.

Harrison (40 ret) and Brough (28) batted well and the first wicket only fell on 86 in the 14th over with Clive taking his first ever wicket for Glenwood shortly after Harrison had retired . The platform was set for some quick runs but they never materialised as wickets fell regularly. Eventually they reached 125 for 5 with Matt as the pick of the bowlers 1-0-3-2.

A season best opening stand of 8 set us up for an exciting run chase. We soon slumped to 12-3 and our top order 4 scored 5 between them. Disaster loomed.

Salvation arrived firstly, in the persons of Lloyd (25) and Huw (23). Then Matt (23no) who brought home the innings sharing an unbeaten stand of 44 with veteran stonewaller, Howard (7no). Victory came in the 19th over.

Extras were a huge contributor to both sides tonight but they reflect the spirit in which the game was played with 16 players having a bowl.
