GNE must firstly thank two members of the departing backroom staff, both whom have left the club over the summer. Former assistant manager Dave Mannix has taken on a new community coaching role at Wigan Athletic, whilst former first team coach Sal Magrh departs due to increasing family commitments, we all wish them both the best and thankyou for your efforts.

Manager Stuart Mellish has been quick to act in appointing James Stokes as his new assistant manager at the club. James has returned to the club after 1 year away at near neighbors Mossley, and now returns with more senior coaching and analysis responsibilities, and now occupies the position of assistant manager alongside his existing role.
