GNE is pleased to welcome two new coaches to add to our existing first team backroom staff.

Please welcome Ollie Wright (pictured left) , and Lee Bolton (pictured right).

Ollie and Lee team up with Pete Band & Lloyd Morrison’s backroom staff here at The Amdec Forklift Stadium for the upcoming 2020/2021 campaign, with both men taking up coaching roles to further bolster the Hillmen’s resources going into the new season.

Ollie said ‘’ My coaching experience includes coaching at grassroots club Juno Utd, I have experience in Goalkeeper specific sessions for all of the clubs goalkeepers. I have gained my FA level 1 qualification. More recently I coached at Farsley Celtic U19’s, my responsibilities in this job started off by being a goalkeeper and strength / conditioning coach and implementing this into sessions. I’m looking forward to working in senior football with the first team here at GNE’’.

Lee said ‘’I come from a background of grassroots football, where I’ve had 4 years experience coaching 2 teams at Dukinfield Tigers JFC which I have really enjoyed and will continue to do so too. I have my level 2 outfield badge, Goalkeeping level 1 & futsal level 1 badge. I’ve been doing lots of work in my own time from courses, to CPD’s to better myself as a coach and I’m really looking forward to starting with Glossop North End and learning from everyone there and showing what I can offer. Thankyou to Pete Band and the club for bringing me on board’’.

Joint manager Pete Band said ‘’ Myself and Lloyd have been looking to add to the backroom staff for a few weeks now, we’re pleased to welcome Ollie and Lee into the management team and we look forward to seeing their contribution flourish with the players and fellow coaches. Bringing more coaches into our staff means we can further diversify the training sessions and the make the experience more unique for different groups of players. With a planned return to training in the near future, it will be invaluable to have plenty of coaches so that we can get players back into training whilst keeping strictly within the latest FA guidance regarding player groups and distancing’’.
