Managers View
Speaking this week GNE manager, Michael Worthington offered his thoughts on the game. ‘I am really looking forward to going back to Coppull United, it’s a fantastic club and we are very grateful to them for hosting us.
We have been back in training for two weeks and have around 10 hours on the grass with the group. Naturally at this time of the year, players are unattached and we have had a number of trialist come into the group, some of these lads will have the opportunity to show us what they can do in a competitive game this weekend.
Regarding the game itself, we intend to use two teams of 11 and give all players 45 minutes to allow them to start building up match fitness, I am really looking forward to seeing what we have worked on in training come out in the game, we have a long way to go but myself and the management team have been delighted with effort, attitude and commitment of the group.
On the player front, GNE fans will see a number of familiar faces involved as well as some unfamiliar and we hope to announce signings soon. I look forward to seeing the GNE fans at the games!’
