Glossop North End head into tonight's fixture with Droylsden on the back of a disappointing defeat to Kendal Town at Surrey Street on Saturday in which they slipped to 19th position in the Evo-Stik West league table. Tonights game in the Integro league cup represents a good opportunity for GNE to turn their form around and get back to winning ways.

The GNE management team could hand a first start to midfielder James Georgaklis after only having limited opportunities so far and making just one substitute appearance at Leek town last week. Jack Tuohy could make his way back into the starting XI after having had a positive impact since his introduction from the bench on Saturday and scoring a penalty for GNE. Josh Stachini failed a late fitness test on Saturday which ruled him out of the Kendal game, he could potentially line up in the defence tonight. GNE have a few new faces since saturday, defender Dajour Buffonge, midfielder Paul Marshall and defensive midfielder Keenan Quansah have all arrived in the last few days and managers Pete Band & Llloyd Morrison will be keen to put them to the test straight away. Curtis Jones has left GNE to join Trafford.

Droylsden come into the game on the back of 3 straight defeats in league and cup competitions and are placed in 16th position in the league table. Last time out they fell to a 2-0 loss at top of the table Atherton Collieries after a defeat in the Manchester Premier Cup vs Chadderton on penalties. Star man Stephen Rigby will provide a threat for GNE after making an impressive debut on Saturday against Atherton at full back. Striker Sefton Gonzales was on form last time time the two sides met at Surrey Street and will again be on the attack for the bloods.
