The GNP Lions are in for a tough game this weekend as they visit the Oval to face Bedworth under 17's.
The lions; who sit second, have started the season strongly, maintaining a 100% win rate in their first two outings. While they have won both games so far this season, they are by no means in a strong position as the sides last match ( vs Stockton) wasn't anywhere near their best. Defensively they know that they need to improve, conceding five goals in two games. However, on the attack they are looking very dangerous as they have scored 10 goals in two games averaging five goals per game. Top scorer Romarion will be looking to increase his record after already netting three this season.
Bedworth, who sit one place behind GNP, in third have had a mixed start of the season winning one and losing one at home. They started the season with a very impressive 7-2 victory against Kenilworth under 17's with Liam Murphy netting six times. However, that form couldn't be replicated as despite a goal from top score Murphy, the lost 2-1 to Binley woods under 18's. Despite losing the last game, it's undeniable that Bedworth are a very strong side who will be tough to beat.
Both sides look like they have the capability of being dangerous but that being said, each team has suffered a setback of sorts in the last game. It will undoubtedly be a great game that promises goals.
