A tight competitive game against Hemel Hempstead, who finished runners up to us in the Middx League this season.
Both teams had early chances, with both keepers making fine saves, although Gods had more of the play, no breakthrough after the first 20 mins HT 0-0.
Gods continued to work some good opportunities, but the Hemel keeper was solid in goal, Bill was equally safe at the other end with a couple of long range efforts. The breakthrough came when a Hemel player was adjudged to have walked across the box to stop a shot, Mike slotted home the penalty. Hemel pressed, but Foxy was closest to scoring a 2nd, but again a good stop by the HH keeper. The Gods managed to see out the last few minutes to progress into the next round.
