Photographer Guidance

Use of Photography

Permission is sought from parents/carers/guardian on the young player’s registration form for photographs to be taken and published on the clubs website or in the media. Where a parent withholds consent, photographs of that child will not be published by the club.

Permission is sought from the young player on the young player’s registration form for them to be photographed or filmed for training purposes. Any such film would be shared and discussed with the young player concerned to try to improve his/her cricketing skills.

At finals events or tournaments team photographs are regularly taken and published on the website to celebrate the club’s success. Any parent/carer has the right to withdraw their child from that photograph.
At events where there are children from other clubs or schools present permission is sought before taking and publishing photographs on the club website.

Where an unknown member of the public is taking photographs of the children a member of the cricket club would approach that person and ensure they are not going to publish any of the photos without the consent of the parent/carer of the young player concerned.

Where a member of the public does not appear to have valid reason to be taking photographs the club would ask him/her to leave the ground.
Parents/carers are free to take photographs at the cricket ground as long as they do not publish them or sell them on without permission.
