So today Prims visitors for this Emcl clash were Leicestershire based Ingles fc.Now it's obvious to those around football that you prepare as best you can, however Ingles turned up with black shorts and black socks, exactly the same as us.So quite clearly somebody at Ingles never read there email.
However on the field of play,Ingles were prepared, they were very organised from the outset, and from a free kick in the 7th minute, they went 1 up. The ball went in directly into the far corner, with everyone stood watching, even our keeper. A bad start it must be said, and it really didn't get much better, when in the 26 th minute they doubled there lead, with the Ingles player racing through from the halfway line,to slot between the legs of our keeper. This shortly after Prims had been reduced to 10 men with Jordan Kelly being sent off with 2 yellows.
Clearly today was not going to be a good day for Prims,we struggled all over the park, barely putting 2 passes together, struggling to find any energy and enthusiasm, and I think throughout the whole game we had one shot, which blazed well over the bar.Quite clearly the game was going to get much worse when Ingles added 4 more goals in the last 7 minutes,to win the game 6.0.
Onwards and upwards we must put this game away, and try and put right next week, with the visit of Gedling Miners Welfare.
M.O.M for Prims today was our groundsman Grant, with the pitch looking in great condition.
