New Management Team!

New Management Team!

Grangetown Boys Club29 May - 10:49

Welcome Wayne and Paul

Wayne Gredziak and Paul Carr join Grangetown Boys Club to support first team manager Curtis Collantine and form a dynamic new management team to drive the Boysie forward into next season!

Wayne, a former Darlington FC youth academy manager of four years, arrives as joint manager and highly recommended off the back of his strong spell at Durham City A.F.C.

In recent seasons Wayne has guided the Citizens back to winning ways in Wearside League and got them challenging in the top half of the table, overseeing a side that went on to score over a hundred goals last year.

A scholar of Scarborough FC during their Third Division days, Wayne brings a wealth of Northern League experience having played for the likes of Shildon, Durham, Crook and Bishop Auckland over the years as well as counting Wolviston, Willington and Richmond Town among the clubs he has coached at during his career.

Another big boost to the B&W Lifting Ltd Stadium set-up is the arrival of Paul Carr a former Spennymoor Town Academy manager who also joins us following an impressive stint at Durham City AFC, where he forged a strong successful partnership with Wayne working as number two to support & strengthen the City side.

Paul possesses great knowledge of the local non league game having previously assisted Tow Law Town during their Northern League Division One era and has also managed Bowburn Youth FC in the dugout as well.

Both will be key pillars in our new look management team working alongside Curtis Collantine who continues to drive us forward as player manager on and off the pitch following our four game unbeaten spell at the end of last season and those impressive league cup wins that saw us reach the Ernest Armstrong Quarter Finals.

The trio will also be supported by Rhys Greenwood, our solid centre half who is stepping into a player coach role this season after impressing on the sidelines last year.

A familiar face to the Boysie faithful heading into his fourth campaign at the club, Rhys previously turned out for Norton & Stockton Ancients before playing a role in our successful promotion campaign. Rhys represented us well in defence during our inaugural Northern League season, with a memorable Man of the Match display in our vital 3-1 win against Washington.

And as we enter our second season of Northern League football with plenty still to prove, and loads learned from our maiden year, we hope that fans can join us in getting behind the new management and first team squad in backing the Boysie as we look to kick on this year.

With a new clubhouse framework installed and under renovation, pre season friendlies to follow and new signings on the horizon, an exciting summer of opportunities awaits for Grangetown Boys Club.

Up the Boysie!
