Great Yarmouth Broadland made the short trip to struggling rivals Lowestoft and Yarmouth. On what was a damp afternoon the opening exchanges were tight. Broadland opened the scoring when a quick break down the blind side released hooker George Wilson who scored half way out, with Murray adding the extra 2. L & Y applied some pressure following the score but strong defence kept the hosts at bay.
Broadland opened the gap further when several strong runs from the forwards created space and Martyn Greenwood barrelled over. Murray again adding 2. The visitors took complete control from the following restart when Wilson barged through several defenders on his way to the try line.
The second half started in much the same way, strong runs through the middle created space for Ben Burch to slide over, the conversion added for a 24-0 lead. Moments later deja vu occurred when Burch added his second, the only difference being no extra 2 points.
To their credit Lowestoft did grab a consolation score just prior to the final whistle. The final score 29-7.
Team: Greenwood, Wilson, Brown, Courtney, Dwyer, Riches, Dudley, Morrison; Doggett, Murray, Munn, Howley, Burch, Murray, Pollard. Replacements: Jermy, Ruddick, Millar.
Tries: Wilson 2, Greenwood, Burch 2

Thoughts are with the 2 Lowestoft players who suffered nasty injuries and a speedy recovery is hoped for by all.
