Broadland started well and following strong runs from L Haylett and J Wells, Thetford conceded a penalty, from which captain G Wilson crashed over.
The second try started and finished by K Wilkes, carrying the ball strongly he forced Thetford into conceding a penalty. S Murray kicked for the corner, L Haylett secured the lineout and after a well worked maul K Wilkes broke away and scored.
Driving runs down the left by G Wilson and J Wells created gaps in the Thetford defence which S Murray exploited putting D Gook through to sprint over from 22 meters out.
T Barber continued his try scoring form by beating 2 defenders to score after a well worked team move.
Broadland pack dominated the set pieces with L Haylett securing line out ball and the front five of S Brown, G Wilson, M Greenwood, J Gidney and K Wilkes providing a solid foundation for the team to build on. Back row of A Morrison and D Gook worked tirelessly clearing rucks and securing possession.
New centre partnership of J Doggett and J Wells created headaches for the Thetford defence all game long. Experienced half backs S Ruddick and S Murray marshalled the dangerous Broadland backs well creating chances for H Miller and A Gallant to gain yards.
O Miller continued to exciting progression replacing the experienced J Pollard at full back and making good decisions and excellent running.
Thetford battled hard throughout the game and are a welcome addition to the league.
