Greetland Under 8s continue to show that they are developing well, as they battled hard against Hunslet Parkside at their Belle Isle ground. As Hunslet had a much larger squad, both teams agreed to play a 'round robin' of shortened games, with the Hunslet players splitting in to two teams.
Greetland held their own, with tries from Aiden Wright, James Slade, James Ellis and Niamh Robinson keeping the score board ticking over. Dagan Murray also went close and earned the opposition's man of the match, as did Bradley Drury who ran strong throughout. Joe Robinson Tackled bravely and ran well, showing great improvement in his go forward to earn the 'effort award' for the Allrounders.
The other awards went to Niamh who received player of the match and James Ellis who took home top tackler.
A great performance and an enjoyable morning of entertaining junior rugby.
