The forward signed for Gresford Athletic in January 2019 on loan until the end of the 2019/20 season, but due to COVID-19 postponments, Colwyn Bay have ended his loan early.

During his time at the club, the prolific goalscorer made seven appearances in all competitions for Gresford Athletic, winning six games out of seven and scoring four goals to help boost the club's standing in the 2019/20 JD Cymru North league table.

Gresford Athletic director of football Steve Halliwell has said a few words on Joe's time during the club:
"Joe has been outstanding from his first to his last game with us. He's a winner, who gave the whole squad a lift when he came in and was a big part in our resurgence up the table. He's a top lad on and off the pitch!"

Everyone at Gresford Athletic wishes Joe all the best for the future. His goals and consistent performances made an incredibly large impact on the club's 2019/20 season and he will be greatly missed.
