The game started with Gresford having much of the possession and looking for opportunities, with Charlie Mann putting in a great cross in the 10th minute to try to find Haci Ozlu, but the ball went over the crossbar.

In the 16th minute, Joe Nelson fired a shot towards goal, but former Gresford Athletic goalkeeper Robbie Williams was there to make a good save.

Jake Roberts and Joe Nelson both had powerful efforts blocked in the 27th minute, before Roberts' 29th-minute free-kick is parried away by Brickfield Rangers' Williams.

Haci Ozlu launched a lovely ball into the box in the 32nd minute, but Paul Johnson's header went just wide of the post.

HALF-TIME: Gresford Athletic 0-0 Brickfield Rangers

The second half began in much of the same fashion as the first half, with The Colliers having plenty of the ball and wanting to find the opener.

In the 55th minute, Iwan Roberts almost found the first goal for Gresford, trying to squeeze the ball into the net, but Robbie Williams made another save.

Then, in the 58th minute, the deadlock was broken, with Jake Roberts picking up the ball high up the pitch before calmly placing it into the bottom corner of the net to put Gresford Athletic one ahead.

Haci Ozlu was through on goal in the 73rd minute, but Brickfield's Williams in goal did well to force him out wide and remove the attacking threat.

However, in the 75th minute, The Colliers found a second goal through the ball bundling into the net from Paul Johnson's effort.

To round off the afternoon, substitute Mark Winslade did incredibly well to take the ball past the Brickfield Rangers defence and goalkeeper Robbie Williams to walk it into an open net and secure the third goal for Gresford.

Winslade almost found his second goal of the game in the 91st minute, but his turn and finish was saved by Williams just before the final whistle blew.
