Borough Defeated For First Time This Year

The Newby Leisure sponsored Grimsby Borough took on Eccleshill United at The Bradley FDC in the Toolstation NCEL Division One.

Borough began the game well playing some football but the first goal of the game went to the eagles who took the lead after Kyle Bensley's goal line clearance fell to the visitors attacker who put the ball in the net. Borough continued to attack towards the eagles goal but the strike force failed to get the power that was required, George Newby coming closet with a chance which saw him just need to get a touch. The eagles second came close to end, this ended the hopes of gaining a point when a screamer from the visiting midfield flew into the net.
