This year, 2019, is the 50th Anniversary of the forming of Menzieshill Community Centre Hockey Club (which later turned into Menzieshill Hockey Club - the men's side of the club before we merged back in 2010).

In 2010 when Menzieshill men and Grove ladies merged to create the club as we know it now we said we would celebrate the important milestones in the founding clubs history.

Menzieshill Community Centre Hockey Club played their first match at Lochee Park in the 1969-70 season and this year we are putting on a hockey festival and anniversary dinner to celebrate this 50th Anniversary!

The important date for your diaries is weekend of 26 - 27 October 2019. Please share with past members wherever they may be in the world. We have already received confirmations of attendance from John Christie in Australia, Mike Chalmers in Egypt, Bobby Alexander in Canada and host/coordinator Harry Byers currently residing in Broughty Ferry

There will be a dinner on the Saturday evening (26th) at Forthill Community Sports Club.

To enable memorabilia and photographs of the last 50 years to be collated a 50th anniversary webpage is being developed to enable old photos and memorabilia to be downloaded.

It is our intention to form decade teams for the anniversary event and dinner

Harry Byers is co-ordinating a team of organisers for the event and they would be obliged if you could detail the decade team you would like to be associated with.
The decade teams will be
1969-1979
1980-1990
1991-2000
2001-2008
2009-2019

If you still have any old hockey kit or club memorabilia we would be delighted to exhibit this over the anniversary weekend so please send it in advance or bring along for the weekend
