The U15s Gladiators maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

After several days of heat, the U15s Gladiators travelled to Camberley's main ground for the next game in the midweek league.

Camberley won the toss and elected to field.

On a pitch with a fast outfield, Guildford found the gaps on many occasions, with 17 fours and 2 sixes scored in the 20 over innings.

Leading scorers on the evening for Guildford were:
Tristan West - 32 retired not out (off 35 balls, 3x fours, 1x six, Strike Rate: 91)
Niko Dahl - 25 runs (off 22 balls, 5x fours, Strike Rate: 114)
Kieran Finnegan - 28 runs (off 18 balls, 5x fours, Strike Rate: 156)
Kaivalya Kumaar - 13 runs (off 9 balls, 3x fours, Strike Rate: 144)
Dulain Jayakody - 11 not out (off 5 balls, 1x four, 1x six, Strike Rate: 220)

Dulain Jayakody crunched a big six, followed soon after by a great four back over the bowler's head to help Guildford close on a good score of 129 for 5 wickets off the 20 overs.

Requiring over a run a ball, Camberley's task wasn't going to be easy, particularly with the opener's both falling for ducks, including a first ball of the innings clean bowled wicket by Max Dyer.

Archie Collins continued the positive momentum with a nice caught and bowled, early on.

Camberley's number 3 & 4 batted well to retire not out on 33, and scoring 24 respectively, however none of the other home batsmen scored double figures.

Guildford's bowling was mainly pretty tight and effective.

The other wicket takers were Dulain Jayakody and Kaivalya Kumaar. There were a couple of run outs from the on the day wicket keeper, Kieran Finnegan, and two catches were taken by Tristan West at mid on.

The pick of the bowlers was Archie Collins who closed with superb figures of 3-1-6-4, including back to back wickets in the final over.

Camberley were restricted to 87 runs for 9 wickets in their 20 overs, giving Guildford a 42 runs win.

As the players left the pitch, the heavens opened. Hence the timings worked perfectly to complete the match.

Man of the match: Archie Collins.
