Guildford vs Finchampstead

Captained by Tom Farley the U13's took to the field against Finchampstead for the first time this season in the UNDER 13 TIER 2 SUNDAY WEST - 2021 in the Surrey Junior Cricket Championship (https://guildford.play-cricket.com/website/division/95328).

Scores of about 120 will turn out to be competitive and on this occasion we fell a bit short also leaving 4 overs unused reliant on MOTM Luke Tearle to get the team from 56 for 8 to 90 all out with a fine 20 with the only other batsman to reach double figures being newcomer Able George who opened the batting for a score of 13.

This meant we had a lot to do with the ball and by bowling well we managed to put pressure on Finchampstead, without taking the required wickets, with Finchampstead getting home in the 19th over.

Great bowling by Tom Farley with figures of 2 wickets for 8 runs of his 4 overs including a caught and bowled with Tom also taking the catch for the other wicket taken off the bowling of Luke.

Despite the sun shining it was bitterly cold but great to get the boys back out on the park with many more games to come and improvements to be made!!
