Captained by Alex Jourdan we travelled to the beautiful surroundings of St George's College to be met by a herd of deer blocking our access to the carpark!!
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first we posted a very competitive total of 153 lead by the retirements of Abel George (31 off 31 balls), Alex Jourdan (32 off 13 balls) and Luke Tearle (30 off 30 balls) but also complimented by some late hard running by Joe Bennett (12 off 18 balls) and Will Aucott (8 off 12 balls) who together added 23 late and crucial runs.
Weybridge challenged in the middle but we always had enough runs up our sleeve with Toby Higgins leading the way with the bowling with 3 wickets for 10 off 4 overs supported well in the field and particularly by Noah Dyer who took a fantastic diving catch at mid-on. Alex Bhatt and Alex Jourdan also took 2 wickets each but the overall performance in the field was fantastic with the fielding and backing up (on the whole) being excellent.
Able was MOTM by batting sensibly mixing up quick singles and punched drives for his great 31 allowing the other batsman to play with freedom around him.
On to Dorking in the ECB cup next on the main ground at Woodbridge Road.
