Guilsfield managed to get the three points following a crazy second half which saw three red cards dished out.
Guilsfield went into the match without the suspended Callum Bromley and the injured Steve Blenkinsop.
We got off to a great start after 10 minutes with the ever dangerous Jake Cook finding the net. Prestatyn pegged us back on 25 mins with a terrific free-kick from Danny Davies, who went on to have an eventful match. Guilsfield went ahead again following a trademark Cathrall throw which found the towering Robbie James to head home.
On 65 mins Jones replied for Prestatyn after a Ben Maher free kick found the defender at the far post and his looping header found the corner of the net.
Then the fun and games started on 66 mins with Adam Jenkins being shown a straight red after he attempted to block a clearance but only managed to catch a Prestatyn defender with his trailing foot. Player/Manager Nathan Leonard was then sent off to the stands and on 73 mins Prestatyn scorer Davies was also dismissed for hand ball in the area (2nd yellow) and Chris Cathrall stepped up to fire home the spot kick and give the Guils all three points.
Team: Jones, Cathrall, Parry, Rogers, Litchfield, James, Clifton, Ford, Jenkins, Cook, Richards. Subs: Lloyd (Clifton), Barton, Leonard.
Meanwhile, our Reserves continued their 100% league record with an emphatic 17 - 0 victory over Maesyrhandir. Top scorer Danny Barton led the goal fest with 5 first half goals, sub John Lloyd helped himself to 4, Dan Williams also scored 4, with Graeme McGill getting a brace and Gareth Mansell and Will Morgan also finding the net.
All credit to Maesyrhandir for fulfilling the fixture rather than pulling out due to lack of numbers. many clubs have been in their position but they haven't thrown in the towel and we hope they see out the season and re-build in the summer.
