Wrexham, The New SaintsBiography
29-year-old Darlington broke through the youth ranks with hometown club Wrexham before signing professional terms at the Racecourse. However, Alex suffered the misfortune of two successive leg breaks during the 2007/8 season and was released by the club at the end of the season as Wrexham were relegated from the EFL.
Alex then joined The New Saints during the 2008 close season and made his debut for the Saints in a UEFA Cup tie against Lithuanian outfit FK Suduva. During his ten season long tenure at Park Hall, Alex collected no less than seven WPL Championship medals as well as four Welsh Cup winners medals.
Alex has registered a total of 94 goals in his 234 WPL appearances for the Saints, and also received call-ups to the Wales Under-23 semi-professional squad. Capable of playing as a striker or in a deep-lying forward role, Alex will wear the number 8 shirt for The Citizens.
