Unlucky First League Game

Rangers started their first game of the League season with only 12 players and going up the slope, they started slowly conceding 3 tries and 2 conversions down the hill after making errors and giving away penalties before Rangers posted their first points after completeing a good set up hill and getting a repeat set, Murphy Smith scored in the corner after good handling from one side of field to the other.
Rangers day got harder after losing Callum Roche with a bad ankle injury which left them to play the rest of the game with only 11 men but Rangers scored again in the corner through Alex Waugh after a brilliant pass out of the tackle from Murphy Smith which created a 2 man overlap, both conversions were missed but they were from difficult angles and the visitors rounded of their scoring just before half time to leave the score at 8-22.

Rangers going down the hill knew they had a chance to still win the game, which was helped when George Craig dived over from acting half, Rangers tried lots of different plays to score but some off the things they tried just didn't stick or the ball didn't bounce right but then Lewis Myers broke through the defence on his own 20 metre line and raced 80 metres to score and the conversion was kicked by Jacob Waugh which meant their was only 4 points in the game. Rangers tried everything they could do to score but in the end their time ran out, all players were excellent and can look forward to a good season when we get all players back.
