Hi everyone, happy 2026 to you all and I hope you all had a great time over the festive period. Junior nets started on Sunday evening so we can truly say that this season has started. As such, the club would like to update you on a few topics.

Adult Nets

These will begin towards the end of February and will take place on Thursday nights at Pitsford School. When we know an exact date that they will start, I will put a message on this chat and on Pitchero but it will likely be 26th February.

AGM

This year’s AGM will take place on Tuesday 24th February at 7.30pm. The venue is almost certainly going to be the Red Lion, East Haddon but I will confirm closer to the time. We had a great turnout last year and the committee would love a repeat of that. A full agenda will be sent out closer to the time.

Club Safeguarding Officer

After 10 years in post, Beth Whorton has informed the committee that she will be stepping down as Safeguarding Officer. We would like to thank Beth for her long stint in the post, which began at East Haddon and she successfully guided us through the merger and into the position that we currently find ourselves in as a club. We couldn’t have done it without her.

As such this role is vacant and it is a mandatory position which cannot be left vacant at the beginning of the season. If anybody would like to put themselves forward for this position, then please let myself, Neil Humphrey or any other member of the committee know. Beth is happy to go through all the aspects of the role with anyone and will provide a thorough handover to any new incumbent.
