Brooks Drive was buzzing on Sunday afternoon with the women's cricket open day organised to coincide with International Women's Day. It wasn't quite sunny but it was dry enough to bring down both enthusiasts and the curious to an afternoon of chat, cakes and cricket to the club. A few hardy souls went for an introductory lesson in the nets, other chose a free massage while most enjoyed a few hours in the club house making plans for the season ahead. A cracking advert for women's cricket at HBCC. New players of any age and every ability are always welcome, we start training outdoors on 17th April from 6:30pm (weather permitting).
