Getting ready for the start of the season

Please find details below updating all new and existing junior members for the start of the 2020 season -

Halesowen Junior Cricket 2020

Welcome parents and players, with the Junior 2020 season just around the corner here is some important information:

Kit evening
On Friday 28 February Fearnley Cricket will be attending our Junior Training with a pop up kit shop. Players will be able to try on and order new kit for the start of the season. If you can’t attend training that week don’t worry as kit can be ordered online:

https://www.fearnleycricket.co.uk/products/team-shops/clubs/halesowen-cricket-club/?page=1

We have negotiated with Fearnley a discounted price on a Technical Training top and this cost will be incorporated into the Junior Membership fee for 2020. Therefore please ensure that all children try on a training top on kit evening and that you tell Audrey, Sally or Mark what size you will require. We will order the required sizes centrally to secure your discount.

Payment for the training top will be taken as part of memberships fees at registration evening in March. Please don’t order training tops directly with Fearnley as you be paying full price for these.

Junior membership fees

We will be holding our membership registration evening on Tuesday 24th March. To enable the club to incorporate the cost of a training top into the membership fees we have increased each of the categories of membership by £15.
U-9s Softball (Year 4 and below) - £60 (including training top)
All other juniors - £75 (including training top)
Girls - £45 (including training top)
All siblings £45, when paying full price for oldest sibling (including training top)

Match fees £3 for junior fixtures
(Maximum of £5 in one week, when more than one game played)

Membership gives players:
• 18 outdoor 1.5hrs training sessions led by our ECB qualified, DBS checked and first aid qualified coaches
• Access and use of the best net complex in the area (must be supervised by adult)
• Access to clubhouse throughout year
• Age group team training sessions
• Access to age group matches both at Seth Somers (main ground) and the Earls
Outdoor Training

The first outdoor session will be on Friday 17 April 18:30 – 20:00 weather permitting. We would like 10-15 minutes with all parents and players at 18:30 to update you on essential club and safeguarding information before we kick off the first session.

All Stars and Dynamo’s

All Stars cricket will be back at Halesowen this summer from the middle of May for an eight week period. The ECB are also launching All Stars 2 which will be called Dynamo’s pitched at children aged 8 -11 and more game based. The sign up for these programmes will go live Monday 24 February.

Many thanks for your support.

Carl Bust,
Head of Youth Cricket
