The Club have named a provisional 22 man First XI squad for the Birmingham and District Premier League for any potential fixtures this summer.

The squad sees new-comers Zain Bukhari, Alex Hinkley, Matthew Payne, James Rudge and Luke Tulacz feature alongside newly installed Head Coach Peter Scott in the 22, which leaves three vacant spots which can be filled from within the club throughout the season.

Masharraf Shazad, who featured in 97 First XI games over seven years, has departed the club for Warwickshire County League side Aston Manor, Rob Horn has returned to his native Gloucestershire and Ramanjot Jaswal has gone back to Wolverhampton. Charlie Hartley has decided to take some time away from the game.

Head of Cricket Joe Tromans said “It’s been difficult to name just 22 and a number of others were very close. I’m sure there are players who are disappointed to have missed out at this stage, but the door is still open for everyone.

"The reason we have left three gaps in the squad is to allow progression through the sides and into the first team through good and consistent performances. We hope the new coaching structure which we have put in place will aid this”

“Throughout the winter a great job has been done behind the scenes to recruit quality players into areas of the squad we needed to improve, we hope we can build on last season and climb the table."
