Hall Road Rangers have a busy weekend ahead of themselves at Haworth Park starting on Saturday at 3pm when Dave Ricardo’s boys come face to face with NCEL premier league opponents Bottesford Town in their last preseason friendly.
With their newly assembled squad Rangers are yet to secure a win under Ricardo in preseason but that doesn’t appear to bother the formed midfielder “Saturday brings a further chance for players to stake a claim to a starting place in the seasons opener on August 6th.”
“The players are training well and have taken on board the messages we have been getting across over the last couple of weeks. We need to eliminate the individual errors that are costing us goals however I would rather us make the mistakes now than in a weeks time!”
“Bottosford Town are an experienced side with strength running down the spine of the team. They will be looking to make an impact in the premier division this season so this will be a good test for us and them.”

The last preseason friendly between the two sides ended in a goal fest with honours even at 3-3 something that Ricardo will be looking to correct this time out.
This fixture will be followed on Sunday at 11am by the annual Hall Road Rangers Select v the Hull City Ex Tigers in the Primary Tec Cup at Haworth Park. The game which has been staged each year in aid of Charity will this year see proceeds go towards Hall Road Rangers chosen charity for 2016 “Life For a Kid”. This fixture will be followed by a mini soccer tournament when 12 teams in three age brackets will go head to head. Kick off for this will be at 1pm.
