BiographyTurned up at Nottingham and said I'd like to try playing rugby, I'd been told I might make a good centre. Was stuck on the wing for the 2's and never looked back.
Played for Colchester when I left Uni, again, first game was on the wing for the 2's at Harlow - scored a try but was dropped the following week as I was good, but not good enough, spent the next few months playing (and scoring) for 3rd, 4th and 5th XV.
Turned up early one Saturday and was asked to replace the 1st XV winger who had the flu, scored 2 tries - making me the only player to score for all 5 teams in one season - and never dropped out the first team until my 'retirement'.
Went to Brightlingsea for one season but then moved to Halstead with Jo. Heard about a new team being formed so wandered along to the AGM where I saw Tank who had coached at Colchester. Was made full back so I wouldn't get lost on the wing and have thoroughly loved being part of the set-up.
