Bexley began the game strongly with their midfield enjoying most of the possession for the first 10 minutes of the game but failing to create any real chances. Halstead eventually began to get into their stride and started to push Bexley back. On around the 25 minute mark Halstead managed to release Scott Howard who was bought down in the penalty area to give Halstead the chance to take the lead, the spot kit was converted by Oliver Miles. Bexley then started to apply the pressure to Halstead and narrowly missed after hitting the outside or the post from a header. The second half started evenly with neither team creating any clear cut chances. Bexley managed to pull themselves level from a converted free kick going into the bottom corner. This seemed to spur Halstead on and with an Oliver Miles cross soon after causing a Bexley defender to put into his own net Halstead again took the lead. As Bexley tried to pull level again Halstead managed to release Scott Howard on the break who converted the chance. Bexley then came close with another free kick crashing against the cross bar but the game was to finish 3-1.
