Dear Members,

With just over a week to go before our end of season “Awards” Night, I thought I’d send out a note to finalise arrangements, especially important safety information.]The Awards Night is the only opportunity in the season that the club comes together as one, to reflect and celebrate the season just ended, and is a great opportunity to relax and socialise with your wider football ‘family’.
The Hampton and Richmond Borough Youth FC (HRBYFC) family now boasts 27 teams, 350 players from ages 5-18 , so the Awards Night has become a big event, and we are grateful that a growing number of volunteers help make this event as good as possible.
Note we charge a nominal entry cost, although this is our main fundraiser for the year, so we’ll have a BBQ and licenced bar on site – at very reasonable costs. We’re constantly looking at ways to make the even run more smoothly, so this year we’re testing “scratch-cards” instead of the traditional raffle, and we urge you to give generously. Each Team manager will have some cards, and the intention is to compete among teams, so there’ll be a “winner on every scratch-card”, so should be fun.

Venue/Timing
8th June 2019 at Hampton Open Air Swimming Pool
Doors open at 6pm – Awards start at 6:30 (sharp…. important). Event should end around 9:45pm
There’s limited car parking at the pool, so we recommend that as many as possible arrive on foot.

Entry/Tickets
Those that have already purchased tickets should present them at the entrance. Speak to your team Manager to purchase tickets in advance. We will accept money at the entrance. Entry Prices: Single £5
Entry includes use of pool ( IMPORTANT – SEE SAFETY INFORMATION BELOW).

Awards
Each player will receive a trophy, with some others receiving individual awards, or long-service awards. Weather permitting, the awards will be presented in either of two “stations” on the rooftop terrace. Timings by team will be listed at the bottom of the stairs. We urge you to have players ready at the appropriate time, so there’s no delays (we’ve over 450 awards to present!!).
All players MUST be appropriately dressed in order to receive trophies, so MUST NOT be in bathing suits nor wrapped in towels.
Once team had received awards, the players should go to the “photo point” for team photo.

Safety Information
• Any children under the age of 8 (EIGHT) years must be accompanied, in the water by an adult with a maximum of 2 (TWO) children per adult.
• Children under the age of 18 (eighteen) are not old enough to look after the under 8s.
THIS WILL BE ENFORCED BY THE POOL STAFF

No persons should enter the pool after consuming alcohol. This is dangerous, and Hampton Pool staff will ask anyone doing so to leave the water.
No glass (of any kind) allowed on the premises. All drinks will be therefore be served in cans/plastic bottles. Wine will be decanted into plastic jugs. We will have some plastic glasses.

Smoking is only allowed at the main gate end of the car park, nowhere else.

We ask you to put your rubbish in the bins provided. This will keep the venue tidy and reduce the time needed at the end to clean up. A condition of hire is to leave the venue 'ready' for Sunday morning's session.

Wishing you all a wonderful evening,

David Farrell (Membership Secretary), on behalf of Organising Committee
