Our all time leading Scorer and current joint interim manager Jon Froggatt will join Evo Stick side AFC Mansfield linking up with his good friend and ex Amber Mark Ward at the Bulls as Assistant Manager.

Froggatt joined the Ambers at the start of the 2015/16 and has gone onto to score 106 goals in 150 appearances, a truly amazing record .

Jon took a step back from playing regular football this season to take the joint interim managerial reins with Stevie Istead.

A fantastic servant to the club Jon moves on from the club with our very best wishes and our eternal thanks for all he has done for us both on and off the pitch.

HJSC Vice Chairman Steve Holmes said tonight on Jon’s move “ First and foremost Jon has been unbelievable since he walked through our door almost 4 years ago, a fine man & a class act who has given his all for our club, stepping in to help manage the club on two occasions , his goals per game record is simply outstanding and a record I doubt will ever be bettered , his influence on our young talents has been exemplary “

On his move away Steve added “ Mansfield made contact and I understand they have made Jon an excellent offer , and we could not stand in his way , I know it’s with a heavy heart that he moves on and we all wish him well and we know he won’t be a stranger such as his affinity with the Ambers , good luck Froggy and thank you “

Steve Istead will take sole charge of 1st team affairs .
