It was with sadness that the difficult decision was made , but it was a decision that was made with the best interests of all parties in mind .

Russ has guided the club through our playing return to Sheffield building a squad from scratch that can compete in the NCEL Premier division and he has steered us through the COVID disrupted seasons , working tirelessly for our cause both on and off the pitch.

Russ leaves us with our sincere thanks for all his hard work and his dedication to his role and the club , and leaves us with an open invitation to visit us whenever he pleases where a warm welcome awaits .

The club will be making no further comment on Russ's departure .

Our existing management team of Aiden Spowage & Jason Dodsworth will take control of team affairs as joint managers .

The Ambers are next in action this Wednesday with a 19:45 KO as we take on Penistone Church FC in our NCEL premier division at the Express Worktops Stadium.
