Leon joined the Ambers in late 2018 and made his Debut off the bench v Worksop Town 12th January 2019, He went onto score his 1st goal scored when coming off the bench v Albion Sports 9th February 2019 and made his First start v Albion Sports 13th February 2019 League Cup and scoring 2 goals on his full debut , Leon has gone onto make 163 appearances (115 starts + 48 off bench) in all competitions , which puts him 2nd to Richard Tootle in the all time appearance list and has scored 76 goals for the club putting him in 2nd place behind gaffer Jon Froggatt .

The management team and club have been in regular discussions with the frontman since January as his contract neared expiration , and had made Leon an offer for him to stay , but he has chosen to explore other avenues and has had an offer from another club that he simply could not turn down .

We wish Leon, Jess and of Course our little man Hendrix the very best of luck in their new adventure and thank Leon for all he has done for the club since he walked through our gates as raw talented teenager, a great lad and fantastic player whom we have a great affinity with and he will be sorely missed by us all and of course he knows out door is always open should things not work out .
