With this evening kick off rearranged to Olivers Mount, the Ambers carried on where they left off on Saturday, creating chances with passing, flowing football. The first goal came from a free kick that Chris James the visitors keeper failed to hold onto, which dropped kindly for Luke Broadbent to add to his tally with a simple tap in. The keeper complained bitterly that he had been impeded in collecting the ball, but the officials were having none of it tonight and allowed the goal to stand. The second goal came shortly after with smart play down the Handsworth right wing, drawing out the keeper and then swinging in a cross which was met by the head of Russell Hobson, scoring his first of the season. Hobson then scored is second of the night just before half time to make it 3 - 0 at the interval.
The second half began with the home side pressing forward once again and should really have made it four, but as always with this game, the away side broke away and Hanson netted for the visitors past the home keeper "Archie" Sneath. The goal lifted the visitors for a time and made forays forward when they could, but the defining moment came from the penalty spot when "Hobo" completed his hat trick following a trip in the area. There followed some super football from the young Amber team and as before, they failed to take advantage of all the possesion and chances. A fifth goal did finally arrive when Tawanda Rupere or Ty to his mates, cut through the visitors defence and launched a shot at goal, which hit the advancing keeper who looked to have done enough to pull off the save, but it looped up into the air and into the visitors net.
