The Ambers made it 2 wins out of 2 with a 3-1 win away at Frecheville thanks to 2 goals from Nat Reid and one from Alex Rippon.

The Ambers made the short trip to our neighbours Frecheville conscious of their excellent weekend win at Penistone Church.

As usual there was a very healthy contingent of Ambers fans supporting the lads.

The Ambers line up saw Lee "Tubber" Hudson from the u18's get his first senior start, with U18 team mate AJ Edwards on the bench. Tony Gurnhill also made his 1st appearance in our County Senior squad, John Somerset replaced Liam Flint (ill) in the back four.

The game started in a lively fashion with the home side taking hold of the game in the 1st 20 minutes...and were soon 1-0 through Danny Bainbridge who capitalised on the Ambers slow start.

As the half wore on the Ambers began to find their rhythm and equalised on 35 minutes when a Jack Willlams corner found its way to Luke Broadbent whose goal-bound shot was touched in by the prolific Nat Reid.

Half Time 1-1

The Ambers started the 2nd brightly and were probing at the homes sides back four and it came as no surprise when the Ambers took the lead on 65 minutes.

Alex Rippon picked up the ball on the byline took it in field he saw the keeper off his line and hit a superb ball into the far top corner of the net ( obviously taken a leaf out of Jordan Stocks' book!)to put the Ambers who were in the ascendancy 2-1 up.

The impressive Jack Williams was replaced by débutant Tony Gurnhill and on 73 Minutes, Archie Sneath our impressive Goalkeeper hit a pinpoint pass to the on rushing Nat Reid who finished with great technique a lob over the home stopper to make it 3-1 ...Nat's 5th goal in 2 games and Archie 2nd assist of the season!!

There was time for young striker AJ Edwards to come on and make his debut as the Ambers comfortably saw the game out to a close.

Not one bad performance from any of the lads.... special mention for U19 skipper Brett Watts who looks very comfortable at this level and his team mate Lee Hudson, who at 17 year old anchored the midfield well at the side of skipper Jordan Stocks.

The Ambers next game is at home to Houghton Main on Saturday with a 3pm Ko at Olivers Mount.
