Club Welfare Officers (CWO) at Hannakins Farm YFC
What do we do?
A CWO is responsible for helping club personnel understand what their ‘duty of care’ towards children and young people actually means and entails on a day-to-day basis.
We ensure Safeguarding policies are in place and understood by all, including anti-bullying, photography and social media, travel, trips and tournaments
We help to ensure that there is a responsible recruitment process and the FA CRB checks are in place for anyone who regularly has contact with the children.
We encourage the club, players and parents to follow the FA Respect policy and agreed Codes of Conduct
Why would you contact a CWO?
If you have any concerns about the welfare of a child or the behaviour of an adult towards a child or young person under 18 years of age in football
If you have any questions about the safeguarding and well-being of players, coaches or referees in the Club
